That`s our school!
The name of our school is Auenwaldschule Gemeinschaftsschule.
The School is a big grey concrete building, which was built in 1974, with green windows . You can find the school in the Stolker Str.4 in 24860 Böklund. The Auenwaldschule is a community school. There is a primary school in the building, too. The headmistress of the Auenwaldschule is Mrs. Geipel and the deputy headmistresses are Mrs. Cooper- Bühring and Mrs.Thimm. 291 pupils in 14 classes from grade 5 to grade 10 and 30 teachers are learning and working together at our school. School starts at 7:30 am and ends at 1:00 pm. We have a big sport area, where we do sports in summer and a big gym to do sports in winter. Our school has many special rooms, for example the assembly hall, a room for craft lesson, biology and a chemistry room, an IT room, an art room and a cafeteria. Among the usual school subjects like German, English and Mathematics there are workshops for Danish, sports, media, musical and natural sciences. During the year we do a school trip with the whole school in summer and we go Boßeln in winter. We celebrate a big school party at the end of the school year as well. This is great fun.
The area around our school is very nice. There are 3 meadows with fruit trees and a garden and the school forest. Our school is a good place to be, because we have many social activities, too: Bus angles, first-aid attendants, conflict pilots and sponsorship grade 9 for grade 5. We are working on it to be a disabled fair school. Mobile phones, smoking, alcohol and drugs are forbidden at our school.
